The final stage of the United Kingdom’s switch to digital television marked the end of terrestrial viewing in 70 years. According to recent reports in 2012, analogue signals were actually turned off across Northern Ireland as this was the final phase of switch over to the digital phase. The analogue signal has been in use since the last 70 years and this change has been initiated after almost 4 decades. Reports prove that UK analogue TV signals ended in October, 2012 and Northern Ireland was the last place to enjoy this close-to-70-year old transmission technology. Later on, all those people who don’t subscribe to cable services or satellite services will require buying digital televisions or set-top boxes to continue viewing their favorite channels.

The end of the analogue TV era will also mean the end of teletext-based services and the entire spectrum will be freed up for high speed smartphone and wireless networks. The digital TV network offers a wide range of channels as compared to analogue TV and much of the content can be easily accessed through digital sets.

Battery

New Xperia Tablet Z has a non-removable Li-Po 6000mAh battery. It will provide stand-by up to 1230 hours(2G) and up to 1270 hours (3G), Talk time up to 10 hours and music up to 11 hours.

Price and Availability

Xperia Z tablet has a starting price of $499 for the 16GB version and $500 for the 32GB variant. Please note that Apple’s iPad has the same price.
